Same problem as other users

First time doing a full scan. It has been stuck at 10% and one minute for hours.

I know the previous reply was to wait it out but this is a little crazy..

I will check back in the morning and see what is going on then. It seems to be running in a loop. The red bar reaches the end then just goes back to the beginning again.

When a bad / unreadable sector encountered during the test, Hard Disk Sentinel tries to analyse it with more details.
Yes, depending the number of the problems, seriousness and depending on the hard disk model (how long it tries to recover from a bad/stuck state), it may be a really lengthy process, may even take hours or so.

This is normal - absolutely not a bug of course.

If this is an external hard disk then you may try to disconnect and re-run the test, for example with different settings.
For example select Disk menu -> Surface test and the test type, but before running the test, select the Configuration tab and enable the
"Sequential backward test" option and disable the default "Sequential test" option to start a test from the end of the hard disk surface and advance to the beginning. This way you can disagnose if the other part of the hard disk is usable - or not.

Also you may use Report menu -> Send test report to developer option, as then it is possible to check the actual hard disk status and advise about the best methods for diagnostics, repair (if possible).
