Hi, after I update HDSentinel pro from 4.60 to 4.71 application cash with this message:

Exception EAccessViolation in module HDSentinel.exe at 0026E286.
Access Violation at address 0066E289 in module 'HDSentinel.exe'. Write of address 00000011.

If I reinstall the 4.60 version the software works fine.

Thanks for your message and excuse me for the troubles.
This seems so interesting.

Did you try installing 4.71 in a completely new folder? (just to be sure, just to verify if the problem may be related to a previous settings / data file).

The best would be to check some versions released between 4.60 and 4.71, just to verify which version was still working on your system.

So please check for example the 4.60.13 version which is still available on the Download page, or directly from: http://www.hdsentinel.com/beta4/hdsenti ... -drwwa.zip

The best would be if you can use Report menu -> Send test report to developer option (from this 4.60.13 version if it's working - or from the previous 4.60 version in worst case). This may it is possible to check the actual situation and this may give ideas about what can cause troubles on your system.

Noticed that Windows 10 Insider Preview OS had an issue with memory management, that's why version 4.71 may not be able to start.

A fix released by Microsoft which corrects this:

https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperi ... ild-14257/

so in Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14257 there are no more problems, Hard Disk Sentinel Pro 4.71 starts without any troubles.

Maybe helpful for everybody using Windows 10 Insider Preview ;)
