Re: Incomplete Reports on HD interprise HP Proliant
Thanks for your message and attention.
Yes, I can confirm that under Linux the RAID controller support is limited. As you can see, with the HP RAID controller it is not possible to access/detect details, just with the other controller. This is independent from the disk drive model, but only related to the controller.
The Windows version has support for HP RAID controllers too, but I'm afraid it is not available in the Linux version.

Re: Incomplete Reports on HD interprise HP Proliant
it seems like you are checking the status of your HP Proliant server with HP server HDs using the HDD Sentinel application on Ubuntu 18.4 and 20.4. It's always a good idea to keep an eye on the temperature and useful life of your hard disks to ensure that they are working optimally.
However, it looks like the application is unable to provide you with certain details like the temperature, health, performance, power on time, and estimated lifetime of the hard disks. Perhaps you could try running some other diagnostic tools to get a more comprehensive understanding of the state of your disks.
Overall, it's important to regularly monitor the health and performance of your hard disks to avoid any data loss or system crashes.

Re: Incomplete Reports on HD interprise HP Proliant
Please kindly provide the detail & description of your HP RAID controller type, then to confirm whether it would be within the hdsentinel compatibility disk controller.
