Export custom temp thresholds when backing up the configuration
Can you please make it so it also exports the custom temperature thresholds when we backup the configuration? I've been losing multiple times the config now, it wont be such an annoyance if I wouldn't have to go through the HDDs/SSDs info sheets to find out their max temps. Or maybe add an option to...

About tests and other filesystems
If we have some drives with filesystems other than NTFS, FAT or exFAT, like ZFS and we perform a test on them, they should remain usable after the test is done, right? I mean considering the results and all of course, you get what I mean. For example in the case I have a ZFS drive and I do a disk re...

Add option to the DOS version or to HDS Pro to output html
Please, can you add an option to either the DOS version or the main app to output html reports? If added to the main app please make it so we can configure the interval said report should be created. I'm asking this because there is currently no way to get the drives status from other Windows machin...

Re: latest 64 bit gzip archive (hdsentinel-019c-x64.gz) is m
One question about this. In the download page there is only 019c available but if I change the url to 019d or even 019e I receive different files, are these newer versions? Why are they unpublished? Should I just stay with 019c?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Question about one of the tests
Yes, exactly as you wrote about the main purpose: to read, write back and then read to verify that the contents are readable and not aletered/damaged. No, the "Write pattern" is absolutely not confusing and not scary in any ways, designed to be there as it is applicable of course. Please ...

Question about one of the tests
So, if I'm understanding this correctly when doing the read + WRITE + read test, HDS will read the drive data, write it again and read again to compare it, right? If so then what is the point of not disabling the "Write pattern" options in the Configuration tab? I think it is confusing, ev...

Change ERROR to WARNING when disk is not available
Please, change the message from ERROR to WARNING when one (or more) hard drives aren't available. Also change it to WARNING when the test is not supported for that HDD. In both of those cases HDS shows and sends an error in the report. I have scheduled two test to be performed weekly and I always fe...

Re: Question about the software tests
Wow, thanks for such detailed reply. I only used the other tool because I was using and booted into PM to create a partition table and a new partition on a new hard drive and it was (that program) preinstalled there, this was before me doing the test, HDS did showed me the file that was in the bad b...

Question about the software tests
Hi, I have a question about the software tests Read+Write+Read and Reinitialize Disk Surface. Do they both cancel each other? I mean, I don't know how to phrase it but if I make a read+write+read is the same than doing the Reinitialize test? For what I read I understand that they do the same only di...

Re: Multiple reinitializations?
Yes of course, you can any time open Disk menu -> Surface test and start any test (same or different type) on different disk drive. So you can have multiple tests running at the same time. Yes, as you wrote, in some cases multiple tests may make the progress slower if the controller bandwidth is di...

Re: Multiple reinitializations?
Sorry for reopening this topic but I have a question. Lets say I have already started a Surface test on a disk, can I start another one (on a new Surface test window) with another drive? Also, would running test on multiple drives at the same time make the test slower? I'm asking this because someti...

Re: Show disk letter(s) on temperature tray icon (overlay)
Thanks for the tip. However, not really sure if the drive letter(s) can be displayed (at least visible/readable) on the tray icons in addition to the temperature value - especially if there are multiple disk letters associated with a physical disk drive. If you can illustrate your idea, make a quic...

Show disk letter(s) on temperature tray icon (overlay)
Title is self explanatory. Would be great if you could add this as it is tedious to be checking one by one (hovering them) to see to which drive said temperature corresponds (specially if you have a lot of drives). So, in the temperature icon, in any of the 4 corners you could add the letter or lett...
