I tried to underline that the drives were in a USB dock when detecting in Windows, as a potential error cause. It works with "healthy" drives above two TB, so it is not to old in that perspective, I have used it for larger than 2TB drives. Maybe newer docks would work better, I do not know...

While that is true about leaving monitors on, you can trigger a screensaver to prevent burn-in by clicking on the "Preview" button in the ScreenSaver controls. It would of course entail not touching the computers input devices, but it works.

And it seems that the NAS is taking it for what it is, ignoring what attempts I may have done to restore the drive in Linux and trying to confirm tat in Windows.

BTW the NAS is a 10 year old Asustor 606-T.

So have 14 drives and using HDS to monitor a server. 14 icons in systray is very messy, and having enabled the Status Window I would just rather get rid of the icons. I have looked for this option in the settings but it seems unavailable. Is this possible?
