Error in Synology NAS

Post by rabronzatto »

Hey there,
I got a DS220+ (x64 arch cpu, not arm) running on the DSM 7.1-42661 (idk if is important) and trying to start the HDSentinel, but the system ignores all tries.
Tried running the -dev command, no result, tried the -enabletest, again, nothing.
All the tests where tried using the root user (enter using admin and doing sudo -i, or sudo su)
The result i get every time, is this one

Code: Select all

./HDSentinel -r
Hard Disk Sentinel for LINUX console 0.19c.9986 (c) 2021 info@hdsentinel.com
Start with -r [reportfile] to save data to report, -h for help

Examining hard disk configuration ...
No hard disk devices found. Please run as "root".
Any tips on what to try next?
Thanks,
Best Regards
Rafael

Thanks, but probably there is no error here: Synology NASes can use different device (non-standard) node names for the disk drives.

Please try

./HDSentinel -dev /dev/sata1

to access the disk drive status.

Please check:

for more information.
