Bonjour,
I am using hdsentinel LINUX version (thanks!) for a long time and it works well with most USB Flash Drives but gets stuck with a few while they are brand new and in perfect health (whether they are cheap or of very good quality).
What could be the problem?

Hi,
Make sure to check with the latest possible Linux version available on
https://www.hdsentinel.com/hard_disk_sentinel_linux.php
as it has generic updates for many external drives (including pendrives / memory card readers).

How can I install HDS on Linux, I know it on windows but now Linux is a little bit difficult.
