Hi,
When I go to Configuration->Hard Disk Drives I have a drive that shows but is no longer in my system.
How do I remove it?
This drive can also be shown in the main display window, and it so happens (of course ) that when it was last installed, it had a super high temp prior to removal, so when I select 'Display only the highest temperature on tray' its this drives temp that shows! So I end up having to display all my drives individually in the tray!
Thanks!

Re: Phantom Drive
I can confirm that by default Hard Disk Sentinel detects and displays disk drives ONLY currently connected to the system, so by default, this should not happen.
There is an option: File menu -> Open status of offline disks. This designed exactly to allow us to re-load the last known status of the drive, to allow checking its status / statistics / logs, even if the hard disk drive is no longer connected.
Not sure, but I suspect you may used this option to display the corresponding hard disk too (in addition to the currently connected disk drives).
In this case, yes, it is completely normal and expected that
- the hard disk drive is displayed in the Configuration -> Hard Disk Drives section
- the temperature of the hard disk can be displayed: so if its temperature is higher than others, then yes, as expected the "Display only the highest temperature on tray" will show its icon
- the hard disk displayed in the upper left area (where other hard disks displayed and can be selected). But you may configured to hide from this list (after right click and un-selecting the hard disk drive), so it is possible that you may forgot that the drive is configured to be displayed even when it is not connected to the system.
I'd suggest to please verify the above first - and if you use Report menu -> Send test report to developer option, I can check the actual situation, verify if this is the case (or if there may be something else).

Re: Phantom Drive
Okay, that did it! I don't remember doing this but obviously I did.
I guess I'm also surprised toggling this setting survived reboots, version upgrades, etc.
It would be nice if the setting appeared as a checkbox in the 'Configuration->Hard Disk Drives' window.
I had a similar issue regarding why a tray icon was showing up. Clicking help and reading it told me I need to double-click on the drive to toggle this option.
Is there some technical reason why these couldn't all just be check boxes?
Thanks for the great software!

Re: Phantom Drive
Yes, I can confirm that generally reboots, version upgrades keep the settings, so things should work again (as configured) after that.
Sorry for the possible confusion caused by this option / function.

The description above the list of the drives on Configuration -> Hard Disk Drives page describes the way to configure the tray icons.
The list used to configure multiple things (status window items and tray icons) and wanted to make different ways to configure: to prevent confusion between those and also add flexibility to select different disks to be displayed in different areas.
Sorry for the troubles.
