Erratic Reporting from SSD
Erratic Reporting from SSD
I have installed the latest version of Hard Disk Sentinel. I am running Windows 10 professional. My SSD reports 99 percent health with trim enabled most of the time. Other times it reports 80 percent health with trim disabled. I am assuming that the SMART feature of this drive is the problem. I would appreciate your opinion on this.

This is already described at:

and also

but I'm also answering here too.
If you have latest Windows 10 system, then there is a problem when detecting the REAL TRIM status: the system may not always provide correctly.
The updated version released which displays the TRIM status correctly again, just like previously, before the latest Windows update.
This is offered on www.hdsentinel.com exactly for this situation:
" If TRIM status of SSD seems not correct after recent Windows update, download this version first!"
So please try that version, by that the TRIM status will be displayed correctly again, just like before the Windows update.
It is available directly from this link:
https://www.hdsentinel.com/beta5/hdsent ... 4-jmdj.zip
If you use Report menu -> Send test report to developer option, I can check the complete status and advise if there is a problem with the SSD.

Re: Erratic Reporting from SSD
Windows 10 updates always mess things up. Can something be done about this btw?
