Good day.
Today I installed HDS on another computer and tested email configuration -> Received 2 emails, one from HardDiskSentinel and one from HDSAction.
Tested the same on my old computer -> Strange, I am only getting ONE email from HardDiskSentinel, not getting email from HDSAction. Not a fireWall problem. Tried re-Installing with a blank profile then configuring email settings and sending a test mail -> Same, I only get ONE email.
Anything wrong?
Thank you.
Best Regards,

Re: No test email from HDSAction
Hi,
Thanks for your message.
No, I can confirm that there is no problem: the HDSAction external module sends test e-mail only
- if Hard Disk Sentinel Professional version installed and
- if at least one project configured at Configuration -> Operations page.
Otherwise (for example if you have Hard Disk Sentinel standard or if no projects configured in the Pro version) then HDSAction does not send test mail, as there is no reason for sending that.
HDSAction is processing the projects configured and (if that option enabled) it may send alerts/e-mails when a project finished or if an error happens, for example if a backup can't be finished, if a scheduled disk test fails or so.
The "mail test" sends test from this module only if required, otherwise only the main Hard Disk Sentinel software sends the test mail.

Re: No test email from HDSAction
Hi Janos.
You are right, I had no tasks defined - I created one and got an email from HDSAction!
Thanks!
