Bad blocks all grouped together
Bad blocks all grouped together
For the first time I'm seeing 299 bad blocks all grouped together next to each other. Normally in the past I would see them random on other hard drives. Is this a clear indication of a power issue?

Re: Bad blocks all grouped together
No, not really.
If there are many bad blocks grouped together, the affected part of the disk drive is damaged. It is more related to a damage of the disk surface itself, which may happen (for example) if the disk moved/dropped during operation.
The bottom of this Help page: https://www.hdsentinel.com/help/en/61_surfacetest.html
shows some examples, in the first one you may see that the end of the disk surface is damaged
(similar present in Support -> Knowledge Base -> Hard Disk Cases -> Bad Sectors page: https://www.hdsentinel.com/hard_disk_ca ... ectors.php )
