Errors during surface test

How, what, where and why - when using the software.

I'm afraid it is not possible to run Disk menu -> Surface test -> Disk Repair test on multiple drives at the same time: as you can see, while one of the test is running, the 2nd one can't start at all.

You can launch any number of other tests, eg. Disk menu -> Surface test -> Read test on multiple drives at the same time - but the Disk Repair test can only run on one disk drive at any given time.

Thank you. As I alluded, I suspected as much.

I would very strongly suggest making the UI point this limitation out before the surface test even launches. A friendly error stating "A surface test is already running. You cannot start another one... Blah, blah." would be much nicer than launching the second surface test and showing errors that make a user think something is wrong with the drive.

Thank you.

Thanks for your suggestion, yes, this may make things better and can cause less confusion ;) A such note may be added in a future version.

(seems so interesting, your original post somehow disappeared. Not sure what happened, did you make any change/edit/delete on it?)

All I did was edit the post, to make the quoted log entry smaller. It did tell me that the post had to be approved by a moderator, so maybe it is sitting in your moderation queue before being re-posted. (Sorry about that, didn't mean to give you more work.)

Double checked, the original post somehow missing, was not in the moderation queue. Excuse me, not sure what happened with it.
The most important is that we could discuss things....
