NVMe drives (new computer) no health

Post by Tim L »

I have purchased and installed the program and I still am unable to see the health on any of the hard drives (all are NVMe drives - 1TB MSI M370 (BOOT DRIVE) , TWO OF 2TB SAMSUNG SSD 980) in my machine.
I am using Windows 10 and it is a new computer.

Please let me know if there is anything I need to check or do to make it work.

Thank you and have a great day,
Tim

Assuming that you installed the latest Hard Disk Sentinel version (as new systems always require the latest version) probably the chipset drivers not installed or a very old version installed.

If you use Report menu -> Send test report to developer option, I can check the actual situation and advise about the situation.

I have tried that many times many ways and I keep getting an error

Error while sending the report.
Please open Configuration window, select Send test report,
save the report and send it to reports@hdsentinel.hu

I finally just reinstalled and reactivated it and it works now. I have a usb flash drive plugged into a hub that it says it cannot find information on.

Still learning what this can do.

Thanks for responding and trying to help.

Yes, I'm afraid most flash drives do not provide any status information. This is "normal", the limitation of the flash drive itself.
Anyway, it can be tested / repaired by the Disk menu -> Surface test functions in Hard Disk Sentinel (this is why they appear by default).

Hm... Probably the software is blocked by the firewall, so it can't connect to the server to automatically send the report.

In this case, yes, as suggested in the message, it is possible to save the developer-report to text file if you open the Configuration window and select Send test report page.
You can then send this report by e-mail to the suggested reports@hdsentinel.hu address.
