hi, great software - just finding my way around it. I would like to do the calibration check for temperatures on my discs (seen mentioned here). However when I click the Help key (question mark symbol), no help topics appear. F1 same result.
The temp. reference I'm looking for is shown as Help>appendix>Temperature calibration
Maybe installing Help is a separate thing?

The "Help" is available immediately (no separate download required) and as checked, both F1 and the "?" buttons in the main window show the help without problems.
Can you please tell me which OS and service pack do you have?
If possible, please use Report -> Send test report to developer option, it may help to investigate the issue.
Anyway, yes, as you wrote, the Help -> Appendix is a different way to open it.

I just replace one of the drives (not the OS one) with another (data only) and now the Help system is coming up just fine. Sorry for any inconvenience caused - but I am sure it was not working before - even across reboots.

I checked the report you sent (thanks for that) but I do not see anything strange which would indicate problem
(I mean I expected that maybe a special OS version/build used, but I see XP SP3).
I suspect maybe the help framework of WIndows had an issue (could not be loaded properly). If this happens next time, can you please check if other software with same CHM help files (eg. WinRAR) can display help?

I do not know why, but sometimes downloaded CHM help files are blocked becomes they come from another computer

Yes, this may happen: in this case it may be required to un-block in the Properties window displayed after right click on the CHM file.
