deta.dll

Post by yaegunp »

Hi,

My Trend Micro Titanium security just removed this file from a recent install of HDD Sentinel. Should I reinstate this and if so what is it used for?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

If possible, please forward the file for analysis to the developers in the security software (I suspect there is a such option) as then they can examine it and prevent false alarm to be displayed.

This file is required to access some special RAID controllers and get information about the connected hard disks.
If you do not have/use SAS/SATA RAID controllers and you see that the status of your hard disks (SSDs) are detected and displayed, then that file is not required at all - just it would be nice if the false alarm would not be displayed. I'm contacting Trend Micro about the issue - just it may be better if they receive the file from different sources as they may fix the issue sooner.
Thanks and sorry for the issue!
