Plugging off Disk

Post by 2k9 »

Hey there,

I've build up an storagepool (Software Raid 1) with microsoft server 2012. All three disk (1x OS, 2x Volume for raid1) are monitored by hd sentinel, and all is fine.

But if I hot plug off one of these raid 1 volumes, the volume will not be any more monitored an I'm getting no notification e-mail.
Is there any option to take in hd sentinel, to monitor all SATA Port fixed? This is a worst case scenario, to get no notification if one volume is going down.

thanks for reply!

Yes, I can confirm this: currently only the Hard Disk Sentinel Enterprise version can issue alert(s) when drives added or removed.
Hard Disk Sentinel standard and Pro versions do not send e-mail notification, continues monitoring the rest of the drives.
However, because of the requests for this feature, it may be available in a later version of Pro version as well.
