Hello all
I have a transcend ssd ts60gssd25d-m 6ogb.
I bought it about 15months ago and i use it only for the operating system and the swap file.
The problem is that it`s health degrades rapidly(69% today)
I`m a little worried. Could the number be wrong ? (the ssd is not listed in the compatibility table)

Re: ssd health
Hi,
The problem is that the memory cells of the SSD drive (regardless of model, type) wear due to the write of sectors, that's why the health decreases slowly but surely.
The swapfile may cause high amount of writes, especially if the Windows default setting used (when Windows automatically manages the swapfile) because then Windows constantly tries to optimize its usage and increase/decrease the amount of disk space for that.
This can very quickly wear the SSD.
It is recommended to disable swapfile at all (if your system has enough RAM for that) or configure it to be fixed size (possibly on a hard disk). Also it is good idea to configure Windows, your web browser and other software to use a hard disk for temporary storage/cache, instead of the SSD.
SSD vendors may have further tips about what changes are required / recommended in the system to increase the lifetime of the SSD.
Anyway, if you can use Report menu Send test report to developer option, I can examine the complete status of the device and may give further tips regarding the current system.
