Since upgrading to Windows Server 2016 Build 1709, I am unable to perform surface tests of disks in a USB3 UASP enclosure. HDS otherwise sees the disk fine and is able to perform other tests on it. I own a older version of HDS, but even after installing 5.01, it drop down menu still isnt able to see the disk.
And aparently you guys can't properly configure your forum software either because when I try to attach a picture to my post it says "Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached." So here is a screenshot:

Re: Can't perform surface test on USB disk
This sounds so interesting.
Generally if the device is present and there is usable capacity there, then the surface tests should work of course.
Please use Report menu -> Send test report to developer option and send image (screenshot) to info (at) hdsentinel (dot) com, so then I can check what can be the issue, why the particular drive is not present in the list of drives.

Sorry for the troubles. Just increased the qouta.
The default value used for long time, never changed/modified, but the setting found and adjusted.

I just checked the image and as I see, the capacity of the USB drive is missing.
If you see the other drive, you may notice the 32 GB capacity in the upper left area - but this is missing for the USB drive.
In the storage test window, only devices where usable capacity (which can be read/written) displayed.
So I wonder why the software can't receive correct capacity information when it attempts to detect for the USB drive, but hopefully from the developer report (Report menu -> Send test report to developer option), I can see things better.
