Hi,
I just installed v5.01.13 beta to test if this issue has gone away.
I am using an external drive bay (akitio-nt2-u31) with two drives configured as single drives. Specs on: https://www.akitio.com/desktop-storage/nt2-u31
Both drives are configured as individual drives (non-RAID):
Y: is on a Hitachi HDS7230 - this drive is visible in HDS (as disk 3)
Z: is on a WDC WS20EADS - this drive is missing but HDS lists it in the volume view as disk 4.
See attached screenshot.
Both drives showed in previous version of HDS. The second drive is missing since the previous version of HDS.
Best regards,
Thomas

Re: Disk from external drive bay not shown
Hi,
Thanks for the message and excuse me for the possible trouble.
Seems so interesting, as generally updated versions has numerous improvements for dual-bay enclosures (both RAID / non-RAID).
I'm afraid the screenshot shows absolutely nothing, just the details of the logical drive.
Please use Report menu -> Send test report to developer option, then I can see the current status.
Also (as you did not mention which version was different) please try to install the previous version (where both drives visible) and use Report menu -> Send test report to developer option with that too.
This way it is possible to compare the reports and examine what could be wrong.
You can find older versions on the bottom of the Downloads page ( https://www.hdsentinel.com/download.php )
Sorry for the troubles, I'm sure from these two developer-reports it is possible to check, verify what happened and improve the situation quickly.

Re: Disk from external drive bay not shown
"this drive is visible in HDS (as disk 3)"
It suggests that Hard Disk Sentinel detects the disk #3 properly and the assigned logical drive too.
Is it possible that you simply configured to HIDE the hard disk drive in Hard Disk Sentinel and (as expected) it is not visible in the list of physical drives?
If you right click on the upper left area (where the list of physical disk drives present), you can use check-uncheck drives to select which should be displayed there (and which may remain hidden).
You can also verify if Configuration -> Hard Disk Drives page shows disk #3 too.
I did not receive reports, but I suspect this may be case....

Re: Disk from external drive bay not shown
Hi,
oh, my god... you were right, the drive was simply hidden. It is now displayed in 5.01.15.
Sorry for the false alarm and thank you for your support.
Kind regards,
T
