Can't send test-email with TLS without username

Once the "Use TLS" or "Use SSL" checkbox is checked, a username is required to send a test-email.
I don't have to authenticate but I do want to use TLS which should just be possible.
I don't know if it really breaks the sending of email. Can't test it ;)

Yes of course, this is completely normal and expected behaviour.
Absolutely not a bug/limitation: if you prefer to use authentication, please specify username and password. Of course these fields can't be empty.

But I do NOT want to use authentication.
I want to use TLS without authentication.
Authentication and encryption are 2 entirely different things and I should be able to use encryption (TLS) without authentication (username and password)
