> But....now the problem occurred on another HDD WDC WD10SDRW-11A0XS1
Probably the problem is not related to the hard disk drive itself, but something else. First we thought about the USB port / USB controller (or the external box) or some kind of power issue, cable issue or so.
> 1) report from HDD Enterprise: see space / space % = N/A 1.jpg
As you can see, Hard Disk Sentinel Pro (the client) detected the drive, but can't see any partition(s) on the disk drive. You can check the top left area (where you can select the physical disk to be displayed): under "Disco 1" there is no partition (logical drive) listed.
If we have no partition information (no drive letter with used/free space) then of course Hard Disk Sentinel Enterprise Server also can't show the free space information, this is why you see N/A (Not applicable) there...
> 2) report from HDD Client: the HDD WDC WD10SDRW-11A0XS1:see online ...
Yes: the hard disk drive seems working, online.
> 3) the short test ends successfully: it means it's online?
Yes: if the drive can be tested, then it is online.
> 4) but the HDD isn't available....
If the issue is not related to the USB port/cables/connections etc, so we can assume that the hard disk is working, can be tested, you can see that the drive is working (for example you may notice that its temperature changes during the self test) then the issue is not really related to hardware, but
1) maybe there is a disk encryption tool which "hides" the logical drive / partition (and hides the disk drive itself from Windows Disk Management)
or
2) maybe there is a virus/malware which does similar: encrypts the data and hides the original drive similarly
I have no other ideas which could explain the situation...
In Hard Disk Sentinel Pro you can try to open the Disk menu -> Surface test window. Select the drive and click on View to display the surface map (10000 small squares). Then if you click on any of these blocks, you can display the "raw" contents of the sector of the disk drive. You can move with the slider to check/confirm that the sector is readable and verify its contents. If this is working - then you can be sure that the disk drive is generally working, readable (so online).
Maybe please make a screenshot about sector 0 (the very first block) as it contains the Master Boot Record, so it may give some thoughts.
