Are HDDs purchased from Aliexpress reliable and trustworthy, or is there a higher risk of receiving counterfeit or faulty products?

Excellent question, I'd be happy to hear experiences about such hard disks ...

Years ago I got 6TB WD Black from Ali-express and It was actually legitimate brand new drive, although took weeks and that's the bad thing about getting things of them. Also got another thing of that place and it was good experience as well.

That being said, you need to do some homework as well e.g. whom is coming from ask around about the seller and if they except returns in case anything is up, but generally except being long delivery I think its safe to say Its safe to get things of Aliexpress.

Why not just purhhased a refurb enteprise HDD from NewEgg or some other place if you have so many reservations about AliExpess. It is always hit or miss but at least for me, for non HDD produts, its been an overall win.
