Are MSFT Storage Spaces supported? Why I see MSFT virtual disk?

Generally as the MSFT Storage Space is not a physical hard disk drive it is displayed - but without real status information. Each physical hard disks / SSDs should appear only once and the physical disk drives already detected, displayed, see possible other disk drive(s).

This does not mean that this MSFT ... disk is "not supported" but exactly the opposite: this virtual disk drive is properly supported by Hard Disk Sentinel, just it has no additional status information (as the physical disk(s) already displayed with their status: temperature, health, possibe errors and so).

This virtual device displayed for two reasons:

1) to allow easier identification of drives / disks / volumes and follow the order and list displayed in Windows Disk Management, which also shows the physical disk(s) and also this virtual disk.

2) this way with Hard Disk Sentinel, you can monitor the status of the physical disks, perform tests on the actual physical disk - and also on the virtual disk drive too.

This is more interesting if the MSFT Storage space is created on multiple physical disks: so (for example) you can use
- Disk menu -> Short / Extended self test functions on each physical disks
- Disk menu -> Surface test -> Read test on the created MSFT Storage space (the complete array).

So generally it displayed to allow greater control and flexibility about monitoring / testing.
Of course if the MSFT ... device would provide status information (for example health of the virtual drive itself) it would be displayed.

If you prefer to hide, please right click on the upper left area where the list of detected hard disk drives listed and un-select the corresponding disk drive (the MSFT storage space in this case) you prefer to be not shown.
