Overview

Hard Disk Sentinel Enterprise is a complete solution for remotely managing hard disk/solid state disk in client computers. The package comes with a centralised management software (the Enterprise Server itself) and a client software: Hard Disk Sentinel (standard, Professional or a silent client) which is installed on the client computers (hosts) and collects disk health, temperature, free space and system related information. Such information are displayed in the single management console called the Enterprise Server.

The Enterprise Server can filter, show, sort, arrange information in different ways so the administrator can quickly check a situation, quickly make list of the hottest drives or all drives with low health in all managed hosts. Moreover, alerts can be configured for various events, and it is possible to start remote tests on hard disks (even all   disks in all   hosts) by some single clicks.

Requirements

  • the client computers (hosts) should have Registered Hard Disk Sentinel software installed. It can be standard, Professional or "silent" client which has no user interface, just provides information for the Enterprise Server

  • the Accept remote connections from server option (Configuration -> Integration) must be enabled. The connection port should be the same for the client and the server (dfiferent clients may have different port settings but the same must be configured for each client on the server)

  • Server side: 1024x768 or larger display resolution is recommended to display all details, especially if managing lots of hosts.

Quick Setup

To start monitoring the clients (if the Accept remote connections from server option is enabled), just start the application and select Configure client hosts. Add hosts (for example, use Add Domain/workgroup, and select the workgroup to monitor the local network). Test the connection to make sure there are no problems (no firewall issues) and then just press the "Play" button to start monitoring.
