Hello
I have just got Hard Disk Sentinel and installed from todays offer at BitsDuJour, I have a drive which is part of a storage pool two hard drives in total in windows 8 / 8.1 storage spaces, my question is does Hard Disk Sentinel read and monitor drives configured in this way or am I getting a false reading as one of the drives is giving errors.
Performance is 100%
Health is 15% bad
There are 103 bad sectors on the disk surface. The contents of these sectors were moved to the spare area.
Problems occurred during the spin up of the disk 15 times. This can be caused by the disk itself or huge power load (weak power supply).
At this point, warranty replacement of the disk is not yet possible, only if the health drops further.

Thanks for your message.
Of course, I can confirm that Hard Disk Sentinel can access the hard disk status: reads and displays it properly, even if the hard disks configured as such storage spaces.
In general, you do not need to worry about those bad sectors as these are already fixed by the hard disk: now the disk uses the spare area instead of these bad sectors, all read and write operations are using the spare area. This is called "reallocation".
However, if multiple errors reported and the health is low, I'd recommend to backup and investigate if the hard disk can still be used - or if it would require replacement.
I recommend to read the proper sections of the Frequently Asked Questions page:
http://www.hdsentinel.com/faq.php#health
http://www.hdsentinel.com/faq.php#tests
http://www.hdsentinel.com/faq_repair_ha ... _drive.php
These describe the recommended steps to analyse the hard disks, reveal and fix any possible issues because the most important is to verify if the drive is
stable (there are no more, currently hidden problems).
If you prefer, you can use Report -> Send test report to developer option any time, so it is possible to check the actual situation.
